Who needs IUI?

IUI is useful in cases of unexplained infertility, mild endometriosis, polycystic ovarian syndrome, borderline/ normal sperm counts, and in women whose cervical factors play a role in infertility.  

How is IUI done?

First, the sperm is washed to select for the healthiest sperm.  Insemination is then performed which allows motile sperm to bypass the potential hostile cervical environment, gaining free access to the uterine cavity, and ultimately to the egg for fertilization.

Sperm Options

IUI can be performed with fresh sperm from your partner, or using donor sperm. If using donor sperm, the sample is matched and selected prior to the insemination.
